9 non-touristy things to do and see in Los Angeles

Greystone Mansion

This picturesque property in Beverly Hills is a historic site that never gets crazy crowded like other attractions in Hollywood and Downtown Los Angeles. It was completed in 1928 and was listed in 1976 on the National Register of Historic Places. It’s free to enter and is a treat for hobbyist photographers and those who simply wish to get lost in thought alike. It’s a wonderful way to spend a relaxing afternoon. Take a book and plan on a leisurely walk  across the gardens. Greystone has been used for weddings and featured in movies, such as “Spiderman,” “The Social Network,” and “Ghostbusters.”
