9 non-touristy things to do and see in Los Angeles

Point Fermin Park

Looking for a spot with a soothing breeze, a view of the Sunken City, and a Central California feel? Point Fermin Park is the place to be!

Located at the southernmost point of the City of Angels, this worthy sight also has a lighthouse to check out (it’s also a historic landmark), is in walking distance of the Korean Bell of Friendship, and was one of the shooting locations for the movie “500 Days of Summer.” It’s a pleasant place for a picnic with a killer, breathtaking view of the coast, right in LA County! Plus, it’s just a few minutes away from the San Pedro Fish Market. (The market is great for those who enjoy seafood, don’t mind karaoke [no singing necessary, but you’ll be listening to people at the mic], and don’t mind being around large crowds of people.)
