See Seattle’s stunning skyline at Kerry Park

Seattle’s skyline is pretty magical, and one of my favorite places to take it all in is at Kerry Park.

I’d heard about Kerry Park when someone on Instagram recommended it to me and when I looked it up, I was sold. Who couldn’t fall in love with the skyline from the park?

(Also, as a Grey’s Anatomy fan, I was excited to see that Kerry Park was recently featured in an episode on Season 14!)

Apart from the view of Seattle’s skyscrapers, I didn’t know what to expect at Kerry Park. It’s located in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood and it turns out it isn’t a very large area. Wikipedia says it’s 1.26 acres. It wasn’t really a problem or anything, but just something I noted. Even with its small size, though, there are a couple of benches to sit down on and a nice pathway to stroll along.

Being located in a residential neighborhood, parking can be tricky at Kerry Park. I went in the afternoon (after a day trip to Mount Rainier National Park) and got lucky enough to snag the only open spot on the street that bordered the park. The rest of the block was occupied. There are other nearby streets where visitors can park, but from where I was, they all looked pretty packed.

It’s also possible to get to Kerry Park via public transportation, which I was planning on doing while I was visiting Seattle. But because I already had a car that day, I decided to drive.

The park was swarming with people the day I went, including what looked like high school/college graduates who were having photos taken of them in their gowns. Although I’m an introvert and would have liked the park a bit better with a smaller crowd, it was nice to enjoy the atmosphere alongside dozens of other people that day.
