New York’s sidewalks: lined with trash?

Yup. They really are.

I guess residents just put their trash out on the sidewalks when they take it out. I noticed the piles of trash in the afternoons and evenings.

But this isn’t something I expected to see in NYC. It’s not shown in TV shows or movies.

I got to spend several days in some states on the east coast this summer, but I was most excited about spending time in The Big Apple because it’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit.

Going around different cities got tiring at points, but it was fun and a good learning experience. I especially liked that I got to see what New York actually looked like – which is way different from what the media portrays on the big screen.

My next entries will be devoted to the following cities:

– Cleveland
– New York
– Philadelphia
– Washington DC
– Niagara Falls
– Boston/Cambridge

Stay tuned 🙂
