Enjoy a taste of Paris in a Cup in Orange County

Paris in a Cup

If you’re a tea lover like me, then there’s a place in Orange County you ought to take a chance on.

Paris in a Cup Tea Salon & Café is a dainty, Paris-themed tearoom in Orange that offers an exquisite variety of bottomless teas, soups, sandwiches, desserts, and more!

Before going here, you’ll have to make a reservation via phone.

When you walk into the place, you’ll have to go through a gift shop first. Behind it is the tearoom.

It’s a beautiful space with elegant chandeliers hanging overhead and comfortable cushion seats, which create an environment that takes you away from California for the time you’re there. It really gives off a vibe that makes you feel like taking it easy.

I went to Paris in a Cup earlier this year with my friends Allyson & Nick. (Special shout out to Nick for being the only male in the room when we went! He was literally the only guy in there. Lol.)

We tried a few different teas, but our favorite was the caramel under Dammann Freres in the menu. It’s a black tea that goes down very smoothly. Other than that, it’s hard to recommend what teas to try because there’s such large variety to suit a wide range of preferences. If you read the tea description and it sounds like something you want to try, go ahead and order it.

For the food, we each chose something different:

Paris in a Cup
Croque Madame – a warm buttery croissant, filled with fluffy scrambled egg, gruyere cheese, and jambon de Paris (aka French ham). It’s served with your choice of a soup (I picked French onion) or a small green salad.

Paris in a Cup
Claudette – A crock of one of their delicious soups served with freshly backed bread and butter

Isabelle – Warm scones with crème fraiche and jam, a choice of soup or petit green salad, and three assorted tea sandwiches. This came with a pot of tea.

Just as a side note, prices are mainly in the double digits (you can check out the menu here). However, it’s definitely a great experience if you love tea! It’s also right in the Orange Circle Antique Mall, which is great to indulge in after some afternoon tea 🙂
