It can cost a lot of money, time, and preparation. And sometimes, it can seem nearly impossible to do.
But what if there were a way to travel all the time without having to worry about all of those things?
Here’s some good news: it is. All it takes is a little shift in perspective.
Backyard Destinations is dedicated to inspiring people from all walks of life to explore their backyards. It’s oftentimes easy to get caught up in goals to visit cities or countries thousands of miles away, but it’s also great to appreciate what’s right in your own neighborhood, city, state or country.
Traveling doesn’t always require flying on an airplane, spending hours on a bus or a train, or driving for hours. One of the ways Meriam-Webster defines the term “travel” is:
“to move from one place to another”
In the most literal sense of that definition, taking a step in another direction is traveling. So is walking down the street or around the neighborhood. By thinking of “travel” in that sense, it becomes easy for anyone to do just that.
But of course, when the opportunity to venture even farther away presents itself, it’s fun to indulge in that as well 😉
